Hi everyone, Hero here - editor-in-chief at NEARWEEK. We have had the pleasure of being able to send out the official NEAR ecosystem newsletter each week. This has been a great opportunity to be part of. Mostly because it has put me in a situation where I can constantly learn about all the innovative projects and wholesome communities in the NEAR ecosystem. The NEAR newsletter is meant for the community, and aggregated by the community. While the curation aspect of the news lies in the hands of our curation team, NEARWEEK aims to fully embrace the Open Web in order to be transparent and accountable for all our editorial decisions. Part of this will come in the form of constantly refining our news selection criteria, which can always use feedback from the community to be as fair and encompassing as possible. Up till now, these have been the guidelines for accepted submissions for the NEAR newsletter: - Partnerships with established projects - NFT Partnerships for the recognised projects - Coin listings for projects on NEAR & Aurora - NFT releases from recognised projects - NEAR Foundation updates - Governance Working Group updates - Updates from established projects - External projects coming to NEAR - Startups announcing their first release - New staking pools - Twitter spaces or AMA’s taking place or a link to the recordings - Projects updates in form of announcements - Airdrops - Weekly, monthly & quarterly updates (Aurora, Ref, Paras) - Roadmap releases - Projects launching on Aurora - Tutorials On the flip side, below is a description of news submissions that have historically not be approved: - Direct duplicate submissions: Identical submitted news originating from the same source. - Indirect duplicates: Identical submitted news originating from a separate source - Outdated announcements: the NEARWEEK news cycle spans from Monday to Sunday UTC time; to remain consistent, we are looking for news originating from the current news cycle we find ourselves in - Unrelated announcements: News that doesn't pertain to #NEAR and its expanding ecosystem of associated networks, such as Aurora and Calimero Network and - of course - everything BOS-related - Shilling Posts: News lacking clear substantial editorial-grade content Does your project or community often not meet this criteria? Let's change that by adjusting the parameters together :) News DAO: https://near.org/hack.near/widget/DAO.Profile?daoId=nearweek-news-contribution.sputnik-dao.near Subscribe to newsletter: shard.dog/NEARWEEK NEAR Editorial: https://near.org/achildhoodhero.near/widget/nearweek.editorial.bos
