@yarotska.near [Posted on DevHub](https://near.social/#/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=1390) ## Idea: Speaking officially: Hacker Stipend Guidelines Hey hackers! Following up on [this post](https://near.social/devgovgigs.near/widget/gigs-board.pages.Post?id=750), here’s some guidelines regarding the travel stipend for the folks participating in the IRL NEARCON Hackathon this year. You already know from our co-hosts at NEAR Foundation that every accepted hacker gets a free NEARCON pass to visit all of the main events. In addition to that, we decided to pitch in with additional $20k in travel stipends to make sure our hackers can get some of their travel expenses covered. We’re issuing one-off travel grants to registered hackers who show up in person and successfully submit a project that meets our submission criteria: - Up to $250 to those traveling from Portuguese cities other than Lisbon - Up to $500 to those traveling from UK, EU and other European countries - Up to $1000 to those traveling from overseas (US, Canada, LATAM, APAC, Africa and pretty much every other country that’s not on our [sanctioned list](https://nearcon-hackathon.devpost.com/rules) To be eligible for this stipend, you have to be an experienced NEAR hacker and have a proven track record to include into your stipend application: - A link to your project(s) submitted to one of the previous NEAR hackathons including but not limited to NEARCON IRL Hackathon, MetaBUILD etc. - A link to your Devfolio project submitted to NEAR APAC Hackfest - A link to your ETHGlobal project submitted during ETHGlobal Waterloo, ETHGlobal Paris or ETHGlobal NYC - A link to your project submitted to any of the hackathons NEAR sponsored in the last 2 years. Here’s how to get your travel stipend in 5 easy steps: 1. Post a [public proposal](https://near.social/devgovgigs.near/widget/gigs-board.pages.Feed) to DevHub Hacks (make sure to include your track record and travel itinerary) until November 7th, 2023 2. Receive an attestation from one of DevHub core contributors 3. Show up at NEARCON and submit an **eligible** project during the hackathon 4. Update your initial proposal with a Devpost submission page URL 5. Get a sponsorship! The stipends will be issued throughout 60 days after the hackathon results are announced on the first come first serve basis. Please let us know if you have any questions in the comments section and feel free to reach out to us in the official [NEARCON group](https://t.me/nearcon) on Telegram!
