@1fdc362ef0f8ae950aa65708adb9f6592f057a5804a5755c0d21bd98af3a102d [Posted on DevHub](/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=1795) ## Idea: NEARCON Hacker Travel Stipend **Introduction** Hello DevHub and dear NEAR community, My name is Dilara, and I’m a Web3 builder and enthusiast based in Istanbul,Turkey I’m currently an undergraduate, 20-year-old college student studying economics, and also business development. Being into blockchain and Web3 for almost 4 years, my intention for building on blockchain was acquired in the last two years. Since then, I’ve participated in various hackathons such as ETH Global Paris,Ethereum Superhack, Encode University Hackathon, and Hackmos by Cosmos. I’ve expanded my web3 knowledge with bootcamps and found the opportunity to work volunteerly with a student club called ITU Blockchain. I’m also able to do data analysis and have self-taught knowledge of Python and R. **NEAR knowledge** I’ve finished studying the documents on the NEAR website, such as the NEAR Whitepaper, Smart Contracts on NEAR, Deep Dive to Sharding, Near is the B.O.S., and B.O.S. documentation. Watch the video series Explaining Near. Last year, I participated in Patika’s NEAR developer bootcamp and gained some Rust knowledge. I’ve also started Web3 Fundamentals and NEAR on Patika to ensure better development during the NEARCON Hackathon. In the event of a good project submission, I’m intending to apply the Encode x NEAR Horizon Accelerator for future developments of my project. **Travel Expenses** I’m requesting, as a scholar, $1100 for my flight and accommodation expenses. Flights: 650$ (Istanbul to Lisbon, round trip) Accomodation: 450$ (6-11 november) If this proposal passes, this will be my first ever NEARCON and NEAR Hackathon. Besides building, I want to interact with others and increase my knowledge and ability to contribute. Hackathons may be life-changing and inspirational for young builders who aspire to shape their future around Web3 and blockchain. I appreciate and witnessed the previous support of DevHub and believe in their strong intention of supporting developers. I’m sincerely so excited for this event and want to be a participant.
