@alejandro.near [Posted on DevHub](/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=1932) ## Idea: NEARCON 23 Hacker Travel Stipend Hello, I would like to apply for the Hacker Travel Stipend. **Itinerary** I'm travelling from Australia, arriving in Lisbon on November 1 and returning to Australia in January * Flights: AUD$3257 (~US$2,069). Cost of return flights to Europe roughly the same whether I returned in November or January * Accomodation during duration of Conference: 6-11 November, 573 Euros (~US$615 USD). For the same price as a private room, I [booked a 5 bed dorm](https://x.com/AvbNear/status/1711844093364772951?s=20) and made it available to [other hackers](https://x.com/AvbNear/status/1714432320470753698?s=20). **Experience** I've been around the NEAR Ecosystem for a long time, always with a passion for product. * NEARCON 2022 I mentored I team of portuguese students * NEAR NYC Hackathon 2022 - Judge * ETH Seoul 2023 - hacker. We made a mistake on DevPost submission and were over the deadline to add me as a member of the team on that platform. However, we pitched to Illia, who can attest I was member of the team. Other team members will also be attending NEARCON this year (after hacking on NEAR for first time with me in Seoul!) I am thrilled to be able to finally set aside the time to hack with other talented people on some ideas I've been thinking about for a long time. Any financial support to help me get to Lisbon would be greatly appreciated!
