@gauthamravi.near [Posted on DevHub](/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=2052) ## Idea: Request for Proposal: AstroDAO Ownership Transition # Introduction Following their selection from the previous AstroDAO transition, the Wonderverse team has been unresponsive and missed key milestones required to ensure the successful transition of the AstroDao project. In response to this, we again invite any qualified teams to submit their proposals for taking over the AstroDAO project. We specifically invite all previous projects to resubmit an updated RFP. If there is not a suitable candidate, the Pagoda team will sunset the AstroDAO project and stop all maintenance of the web app and its related services through the end of 2023. # Background Information AstroDAO is a platform for decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) built on the NEAR Protocol blockchain. The platform allows members to fund and support a wide range of projects that span various industries, such as NFT art, community marketing, developer tooling, funds management for major ecosystem organizations, etc. Members can collaborate and create their own DAOs, submit proposals for projects they would like to see funded, as well as vote on which projects should receive funding, and how the funding should be distributed. AstroDAO has over $58M in TVL with a total of 118k proposals, of which ~1800 are active at the time of writing. # Scope of Transition Pagoda has completed the initial development of the AstroDAO platform, but going forward will focus on the BOS and other open-source initiatives. The AstroDAO platform, including IP, website, frontend, and middleware services, is offered to a qualified team from the NEAR ecosystem to take over. The team can choose to absorb or merge AstroDAO into their own products and brand, continue to grow the AstroDAO platform, or propose alternative approaches. Note that the SputnikDAO smart contracts stay in the open domain and will be maintained by Pagoda with contributions welcome from the selected entity. The selected entity is free to fork the SputnikDAO contract or continue to use the public SputnikDAO contract. # Services billing transition requirements The selected entity will be required to take all costs associated with running AstroDAO’s services from Pagoda within 6 months of being selected. This includes all server and compute costs associated with hosting and operating the web app. Current services costs total approximately $4500/month. # Proposal Requirements To be considered in response to this RFP, all proposals should include the following details at a minimum: Information about your company: - Primary’s person contact information - Size of the team - Size of the engineering team - Team location - Team background and bios Relevant professional experiences: - Examples of relevant experience with NEAR blockchain - Non-technical capabilities? Do you have in-house design, UX/UI? Project management? Customer support? BD / Marketing? - Portfolio of relevant work Proposed plan for AstroDAO: - If planning to merge into an existing product/brand: Describe the transition with a timeline and explain how this will benefit the NEAR Ecosystem as a whole - If planning to continue developing and growing: Describe the details of the go-to-market plan and the business plan for the short/medium/long term - Detailed overview of the proposed development plan, including timelines and milestones - Ensure to include impact: propensity to increase on-chain activity metrics such as DAU/WAU/MAU through an increase in overall community engagement through the platform, # of DAOs being launched, average # of transactions per DAO etc. (either of AtroDAO or a merged product). # Evaluation Criteria The team of Rob Tsai, Vikas Pandey, Josh Ford, Kaelyn Rohm, and Gautham Ravi will evaluate proposals based on the following factors: - The overall impact of growing the NEAR ecosystem (Monthly Active DAOs monthly active accounts) - The level of your team's expertise and capacity to take on the project in a self-sustaining manner - The completeness of the proposed business development plan, including timelines and milestones # Submission Guidelines To bid, please submit your proposal as a “solution” reply to this idea by 11:59 pm Nov 17, 2023 PST. The team will review the proposals and post an attestation to their chosen team by Dec 1, 2023 PST.
