Really excited to kick off Abstraction Hacks in January; We are conducting a 3 Week Hackathon online with activations for meetups in Asia to build abstraction use cases. Registrations are live at [abstracting.org](abstracting.org) as well as community marketing and engagement. We are planning workshops leading up to and during the hackathon for new concepts and novel teams, and are expecting 10 quality submissions. We are asking for Hackbox support for bounties & prizes, and DevHub for Events support in conjunction with several meetups in Asia, while Banyan Collective will be supporting for free for NYC and SF, and Balkans in related meetups during the duration of the hackathon. Information is public (including tentative schedule) at [abstracting.org/manual ](http://abstracting.org/manual) ## Objectives * Get 10+ unique account abstraction use cases built on NEAR * Showcase new concepts in AA space for NEAR like Keypom Trial Accounts, NEP366, Fast Auth, and Remote Accounts * Activate asian developer community in real life * Create evergreen account abstraction content * Increase voice of share for account abstraction on NEAR * Pipelining solutions into projects on NEAR to increase conversion; though Onboard DAO Innovation Fund, NEAR DevHub, Hackbox Hackathons, and NEAR Horizon / Founder Success Team * Pipeline developers into NEAR Ecosystem projects Since NEARCON there has been some awesome updates from the ecosystem relevant to Wallet, and Account + Chain Abstraction. * 3 New Wallets getting added to ecosystem * Launch of NEAR SNAP w/ meta transactions (also bridge support to come before end of year) * HERE Wallet Goes to Aurora paying for Gas via metatransactions * Approval of Funding for [Onboard DAO](http://onboarddao.org), for onboarding innovation fund * Launch of [DropWallet](http://wallet.genadrop.xyz) (+ DropAuth coming soon SSO with progressive onboarding) * NEAR’s Pivot to Chain Abstraction & Launch of Rollup DA Layer * Discussions on Wallet Support ## Progress to Date * [Hacker Manual ](http://abstracting.org/manual)Live on Notion contains most the 1 pagers * Abstraction Hacks Website * Registration * Ideas and Documentation * Still Finalizing Entirely New + Novel Online Workshops Aiming for 3-5 * Successful Abstraction Bounty at NEARCON with 12 submissions * Formation of Onboard DAO with NDC HOM support and Wallet WG, setting up ops and funding process, as well as on chain gateway * Builders building different use cases: MPC Progressive Custody, Trial Accounts * Community Partnership from AVB, NEAR Vietnam, HERE Wallet, Meteor Wallet, Keyopm & Build DAO * Currently Fielding Judges; Confirmed Like Petr form Here Wallet * Ideas list [abstracting.org/ideas ](http://abstracting.org/ideas) * Coordinating with NEAR Balkans for IRL activations * Coordinating with SF and NY Hubs * Groupchat formed with all stakeholders # Organizer Introduction [Onboard DAO ](https://onboarddao.org)x [Banyan Collective](https://banyan.gg). Onboard DAO is a DAO formed of biggest Wallet builders in the ecosystem focused on onboarding, retention, and innovation, Banyan Collective runs the regional hub in the US and have run builder groups and hackathons consistently in the NEAR ecosystem We are aIming to build abstraction use cases primarily linking developers with new teams. A combination of BOS, chain abstraction, and native smart contract devs. # Event Impact Abstraction Hacks will strengthen NEAR’s impact in Asia, Europe, and America globally, while building solid use cases on top of the Open Web stack bringing additional developers into the ecosystem, but further bolstering the tech of existing founders in the ecosystem. # Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Our primary objective is to have teams integrate abstraction into their dApps, build tools + infra other dApps can integrate, and retain them through their journey. * Number of Teams 15 - 2-4 Size Teams * Percentage of Founders: 25%, Students 20%, Developers 35%, Non-Technical Participants (Designers / PMs) 20% * 10 Quality submissions *Its also important to note that our internal OKRs for amount of developers signed up is 150 (we only currently have 15 sign ups) # Evaluation Factors Project will be evaluated based on code complexity, use of abstraction, novel application, UX, and likelihood to continue the project. For more information check out [abstracting.org/evaluation-matrix ](abstracting.org/evaluation-matrix) # Funding Request We will be requesting $16,000 USD on NEAR, $10,000 of which to go towards bounties, and $6,000 for a series of activations across 4 hubs in Asia (still finalizing dates with hubs). * Budget Manual for Hub (to be updated) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jNZYQwslDLhs3wRJgflUocDDCoNi7fOL5sJ8bz8tXD0/edit#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jNZYQwslDLhs3wRJgflUocDDCoNi7fOL5sJ8bz8tXD0/edit#gid=0) # Additional Information We are in the process of confirming additional bounties and sponsors and workshops.
