Our essential focus is on development ideas (ITA is the best School of Engineering in Brazil) and projects related to blockchain primarily participating in Events/Workshops and Hackathons, like Eth São Paulo, Eth Rio de Janeiro and other international events like Eth Amsterdam, Eth Paris and Devcon. We believe in the idea to put knowledge into practice, and we are recognized in Brazil for our excellence in development and victories and competitions. Objectives * Implement “Monthly Development Session”, a series of consistent and inclusive events featuring brunches, hands-on workshops in Web3, and mentored student activities. Aim to empower attendees with skills for leading and developing their Web3 projects, preferably utilizing NEAR technology. * Participation in hackathons and development contests, or facilitating participation in renowned global hackathons (we are passionate in this one, we are developers first). * Organize a showcase event for students to present their projects to industry experts or venture capitalists. * Ensure NEAR is prominently featured as a primary sponsor in all events and communications, including social media and event mentions. * Regularly disseminate NEAR updates through the Cambridge Blockchain Society newsletter. * Arrange mentorship for club members with NEAR experts and set up online group sessions. * Seek to establish vital Web3 infrastructure components, focusing on technical support and resources. * Maintain ongoing engagement through follow-up calls between the Cambridge Blockchain Society and the NEAR campus team to monitor progress. * Continuously refine NEAR Campus initiatives based on feedback from members and stakeholders. * Produce regular reports detailing achievements, successful initiatives, and learnings from NEAR Campus involvement. 3-Month Plan: ITA Blockchain Club Engagement in NEAR Ecosystem Start Date: January 2024 End Date: March 2024 **Month 1: Planning and Research Activities:** * Explaining more about Near with some online introductory events (we are in holidays, so the objective here is an introduction) * Give tasks to old members know more about the protocol and put in practice the knowledge learned * Encourage the members to participate in open-source NEAR projects * Understand our possibilities to contribute with Near and work together in a project that it is good for both parts * Plan and align expectations over the year in a meetup with Near Campus leaders, discussing more about “Monthly Development Session” with scheduling dates and working in some specific projects with experts * Give Near the gold status sponsor for our club (putting this in our social media and resources) **Month 2: Onboarding and Studying Activities:** *Onboarding new members 2024:* We are seeking funding and collaboration for the ITA Blockchain Club onboarding event, scheduled for February. This event serves as a crucial introduction to our club for potential new members. We envision a casual and engaging atmosphere during the event, and your sponsorship could make this possible by supporting a coffee break. Our onboarding session is planned to be a two-hour event and we intend to include the following activities. * An insightful overview of our club's goals and ongoing projects, including Near Campus activities. * A workshop from Near, to introduce new members to the Near Ecosystem. It can be IRL or online. * Costs related to the coffee break, based on other events previously organized by the club. * Promotional materials about our club and Near, will be distributed to enhance awareness and engagement. * Total costs estimated in 1k USD with coffee break (about half) and materials (club shirts)/other stuff (another half) - we are experienced in events, so that is the average cost when we did any event with coffee break. *Participation ETH Denver 2024:* We are excited to seek funding for participating in EthDenver 2024, scheduled from February 23 to March 3 in Denver, Colorado. The participation of Near is already confirmed and we already got the tickets for the event aiming to explore more about Near. This prominent blockchain hackathon and community gathering features workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities crucial for our development in blockchain technology. This recognized Brazilian blockchain hackathon and community event offer essential workshops, presentations, and networking prospects pivotal to our advancement in blockchain technology.
