Furthermore, the development of the Electron ZK-Bridge has also enabled the development of a STARK+PLONK based NEAR ZK Light Client, which is available as a public good, thus enabling Electron and NEAR to be at the fore front of ZK technology. This is the 3rd gas subsidy grant post. The previous two sponsorships are [here](https://near.social/devgovgigs.near/widget/gigs-board.pages.Post?id=522) and [here](https://near.social/devgovgigs.near/widget/gigs-board.pages.Post?id=1076) ### Context The protocol requires generating zk-proofs of Near state and submit them to verify on Ethereum blockchain. While the proof verification of Ethereum states on the Near blockchain are cheap, the proof verification on Ethereum blockchain is quite expensive. These proofs are necessary to verify cross chain transactions in a permissionless manner. ### Goals Continued maintainance of Electron ZK Light Client and Bridge. We continue running the bridge relayer and generating proofs. ### Additional Goals Launch of the integration of NEAR DA with ZK Light Client. NEAR recently launched DA services, which enables rollups to use NEAR's cheap blockspace. We are integrating with them, and this will enable rollups such as Polygon CDK and OP Stack to receive NEAR security in addition to Ethereum security. ### Ask request In our third round of funding, we request Developer DAO to subsidise gas fees for zk-proofs for the next 3 months (Dec - Feb) totalling $30,000 Once again, we would like to thank Developer DAO for supporting us through our journey. We also welcome feedback on the bridge experience and highly encourage suggestions. [Website](https://electronlabs.org/) [Twitter](https://twitter.com/labs_electron)
