This is something that my friends and I have struggled with as well, and we believe that the problem lies in a lack of transparency in how the funds raised are spent. We believe that this can be solved via fundraising on NEAR, with smart contracts deployed with automatic enforcement of who these funds can be sent to. Process: 1. Fundraiser campaign is started on our platform. 2. Custom tokens for each campaign will be issued (Backed 1:1 with USD by us) to grant recipients. 3. Each token's smart contract will automatically enforce how funds can be spent. A third party auditor can assist with whitelisting wallets of verified contractors. 4. Fund expenditure will be tracked fully on our platform, and displayed in an intuitive manner on our frontend. 5. All tokens that are issued by us can be redeemed for USDT.
