We showed off our initiatives and successes from the fall and consistently encouraged potential members to join our organization, regardless of their major or background. We had productive conversations with skeptics of the technology, and were successful in changing the narrative on campus. As a result of our new campaign titled ‘Ringing in the NEAR Year’, we gained about 31 additional members, bringing our membership base to about 120. We stayed within budget for this event as well, spending $240 of our allocated $250. **Hold kickoff event for Spring theme with introductions to the team, NEAR Campus, WiBlock, and initiatives spearheaded by our organization** To incentivize participation within the ecosystem, we held a high-quality developer workshop as our kickoff event with Devhub moderator Joe to teach our members about the BOS and how their current skill sets can apply to web3. We had a full house of participants, bought food/refreshments, and even provided some memorabilia to members who completed a basic Dapp tutorial or other small challenge. We successfully onboarded 20 new devs to the BOS. **Plan WiBlock <> NEAR Campus event to encourage female participation in the space.** We held conversations with female builders in the web3 space to talk about their experience within the industry as well as to be a support for our members looking to get more involved in all things blockchain. Through holding a collaborative event with WiBlock (by WiB), we saw 13 dedicated, high-tech builders attend our event and get a deeper insight into womens’ contributions to the NEAR ecosystem. 12 of them joined BU Blockchain as members. To prolong this involvement, we are partnering with another student tech organization at BU to host a joint event to onboard web2 devs onto the BOS - a seamless transition. We budgeted about $200 total for food and beverage, and stayed within that budget. **Hold check-in meeting with NEAR Campus stakeholders to discuss approaches that worked, what needs improvement, and how BU Blockchain as an organization can continue to support all members in their endeavors.** We presented metrics from the past few months and updated our running report to demonstrate the appropriate usage of funds. We plan to hold a career panel with web3 professionals from NEAR and beyond to give members insight into the process of working at a top web3 firm that is at the forefront of innovation. **We have postponed the career panel with approval from Devhub moderators.**
