@platoboss.near [Posted on DevHub](/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=3266) ## Idea: Open House Extended | NEAR Developer Program in Colombia I am Alexander, co-founder of Platohedro, an organization that has been working since 2004 at the intersection of art, technology, and social transformation, empowering people of all ages with knowledge to build a better life. Over the past three years, we have been advancing in exploring blockchain technology and Web 3, developing various activities such as workshops, exhibitions, meetups, and hackathons, and being part of several communities from different chains in LATAM, particularly Friendship relations within the Hispanic NEAR community and the NEAR ecosystem. This post serves as a Dev Rel proposal aligned with the objectives of the Decentralized Developer Relations Program. I am convinced that NEAR should establish a strong presence in the MAIN REGIONS OF COLOMBIA through incorporation and commitment to local developers and builders. I commit to dedicating at least 5 hours per week to supervising and facilitating these tasks, actively participating in project management and coordination, and being transparent about the progress of the contributor and their performance. This will allow contributors to focus on achieving the intended results. 🔎 Objectives Our main goal is to launch an Educational Program for NEAR Developers and provide comprehensive support to the developer community in the Colombia region, focusing on contributing to public goods. Our collaborators will work on a wide range of development initiatives, such as documentation, educational materials, workshops, blog posts, and tools, among others, in the Colombian context. This will enable Colombian developers to benefit from specific resources and training for their needs and circumstances. We hope this program will be of great help to the developer community in Colombia! 🫂 Our collaborators The collaborators come from various regions of Latin America, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela, among other countries. We will count on diverse communities such as Medellin JS, Rust Medellín, Dotlabs(), and Cypherplatxs, communities in the city of Bogotá, and other major cities. They are expected to carry out significant work with 5 hours per week of guidance from our Dev Rel Lead (Rubeola). We may hire more candidates or technical experts from the ecosystem to work together. Andres (anmatig): I am also known as Blockchain Machine on social networks. Its main objective is to promote social transformation through access to knowledge and collective creation. Since its foundation in 2004, Platohedro has been committed to empowering grassroots communities and promoting collective well-being. They have developed a wide range of projects and programs that seek to give voice to those who have been silenced and marginalized in society. One of the highlights of Platohedro's work is its focus on technology as a tool for social change. They have created learning and experimentation spaces where people can explore and use technology creatively and critically. This includes projects like Cypher Plato, a crypto exchange study group that seeks to promote alternative economies that benefit the community. Additionally, Platohedro has worked closely with different communities and organizations, both locally and internationally. We have developed collaborative projects intending to address common needs and interests, implementing artistic, cultural, technological, and social proposals from a participatory and community perspective. Last year we made an open house (a series of activities during a month dedicated to a protocol) with FUEL, Solana, Nym, and AVALANCHE, META POOL, and in 2022 we did VAMOS A NEAR with the NEAR Hispano program in the certified teacher in residency.
