@khorolets.near [Posted on Developer DAO Board](https://near.social/#/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=269) ## Idea: NEAR Swift SDK or borsh-swift NEAR can be proud of a lot of cool tools and libraries for developers. However, it is applicable to Rust and JavaScript languages while mobile development misses a lot of tools. I believe Android developers can hack something using [`borshj`](https://github.com/near/borshj) (Java, Kotlin, Scala, etc.) Meanwhile, for iOS developers, there is a pet project [`nearclientios`](https://github.com/near/near-api-swift) that seems abandoned. I am not aware of a reason for this project to be abandoned. Perhaps, native-app developers don't want to create apps connected to NEAR, while React-native developers are totally satisfied with the tools. Anyway, I would like to propose an idea to create a NEAR Swift SDK to provide tooling for native developers to create iOS apps connected to NEAR. Or at least implement `borsh-swift` to make it possible to work with borsh-serialized data stored on-chain.
