However, the success of Web3 will ultimately depend on the end-user adoption. With AstroDAO, our goal is to ensure that DAOs running on NEAR can gain significant traction with innovators, early adopters, and ultimately, the majority. To achieve this, we will calibrate AstroDAO’s product-market fit, build marketing capabilities, build the product and - importantly - run the organisation with the principles of Web3 and blueprints of open source models. ### Objectives - Growth: Ultimately the success of AstroDAO can come with the wider adoption of DAOs for commercial and non-profit use. We want to support tens of thousands of DAOs within the next three to five years. - Model to live by: We want to establish AstroDAO as the inspiration and blueprint for the adopters while we, ourselves operate by the DAO principles we promote. - Sustainability: We aim to make AstroDAO self-sufficient and profitable. ### Approach Thought 1. Ensure Product-Market Fit - Clarify the value proposition of DAOs and NEAR for real-life business problems: what they can do materially better and why to run on them - Identify target segments: organisations that benefit with DAOs, their the decision makers, recommenders, end-uses. - Identify distribution channels: direct and partner, such as legal firms, consultancy companies, accountancies. - Confirm how AstroDAO can be made sustainable and self-funded: e.g. free tier and paid premium features. - Validate, adjust or pivot as needed. 2. Execute the Model - Transition AstroDAO to a DAO organisation, live by what we promote: issue governance tokens and investor/staking tokens. - Build the necessary capabilities to support AstroDAO’s growth. - Market AstroDAO for commercial and non-for-profit use by building marketing funnels and value chain capabilities. - Scale the business to achieve tens of thousands of DAOs within the next three to five years. ### High-Level Plan 1. Foremost, ensure ongoing technical support for AstroDAO, including security patching and operations, during the first 6-12 months. 2. Confirm the product-market fit and distribution models within the first 6-9 months and pivot if necessary. 3. Seek funding for growth in the following 3 months. 4. Execute for growth and sustainability by: 5. Reshaping AstroDAO into a true DAO organisation. 6. Building community and ecosystem engagement capabilities. 7. Developing marketing and sales capabilities. 8. Scaling up engineering capabilities. ### Funding - We will seek a grant to finance technical and operational support for a team of four people over the initial period of 6-9 months. It is assumed that the infrastructure bill will be paid by Pagoda, as noted in the answers. - Additional funding will be required for product-market validation, which can be discussed in detail if the proposal progresses further. - The funding for the growth phase will depend on the results of the product-market validation. ### Team - Project lead: Daniil, contributor to the lockup contract, integration with AstroDAO. - Initially, the engineering team will consist of: - Full-stack developer, full-time. - Part-time QA engineer, 50%. - Full-time DevOps engineer. - The engineering and business support will be provided by beskyd.com, a niche banking product and outsourcing company based in Ukraine. This will ensure the venture can focus on its business objectives with just-in-time available resourcing that is sustainable, scalable, and managed. - Business advisor: Vladimir, a fintech CTO and entrepreneur.
