@denysk.near [Posted on Developer DAO Board](https://near.social/#/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=711) ## Idea: Validator Group Proposal #2 / StakeBot #### Open a bounty to create and MainNet StakeBot which will run Delegation Program **Goal:** To incentify validators enough to improve hardware and infrastructure setup used by chuck-only-produces, and also to improve validator's engagement. ##### Rational: The Stake-o-Matic bot on Solana has been instrumental in enhancing network security and decentralisation by automatically adjusting staking allocations based on validator performance, uptime, and promptness in implementing network upgrades (most important part of the bot). We envisage a similar bot in the NEAR that can significantly boost validator participation. ##### Project Details: Objective: The primary goal is to create a fully automated staking bot that manages the delegations within the NEAR ecosystem, similar to Solana's Stake-o-Matic. SputnikDAO or other multisig should be considered as source of delegations, which controlled by the `Owner` ##### Key Features: **1 Automated Staking and Unstaking:** The bot should automatically delegate and undelegate NEAR tokens to validators based on their performance metrics, such as uptime, adherence to network upgrades, and other relevant factors. **2 Performance Tracking:** The bot should continually monitor and assess the performance of all validators in real-time, dynamically adjusting delegations accordingly. **3 Transparency and Notifications:** The bot should ensure transparency by sending regular notifications to validators about their performance and the reasons behind the staking decisions. This feature will also motivate validators to maintain and improve their performance, discord and telegram can be used for notifications. **4 Security:** Security should be considered. The bot should conform to the highest standards of security to ensure the safe and secure delegation of tokens. **Timeline:** The anticipated timeline for this project is 6-12 weeks, with consistent updates on the progress and any challenges encountered. **Budget:** We propose a bounty of 15,000 NEAR tokens. This budget should cover the cost of the development process, including designing, coding, testing for security and performance, and any necessary improvements or modifications. Maintaining the code: the successful contractor should maintain the bot and its relevant repositories and source code for 500 per month in NEAR tokens as compensation **Project should be open source.** **Eligibility:** This bounty is open to any developer or team with a robust understanding of NEAR technology, staking mechanisms, bot development, and performance metrics. By incorporating a staking bot into our ecosystem, we believe we can significantly enhance the robustness and stability of the NEAR network. ###### Bounty requirements / specification: Bot should be checking following conditions and realign the delegation accordingly, scoring system should be implemented. - Maximum Commission: 10%, requirement - Max Stake: 1M NEAR tokes, requirement - KYC, requirement - Last 10 epochs uptime: >80% for chunk producers, >95% for block producers - Self Stake: 100-10,000 NEAR (for example), score 0.1-1 - Datacenter Concentration, Region/Country Concentration, max score 2, less concentration better score - Running the testnet node (will increase delegated stake), score 1 - Participation in Pagoda Debug program, score 2 - SLA (response to critical updates, emergency restarts) 4 hours @root.near @blaze.near @gmilescu.near
