The main focus of my contributions will be providing specific support to developers in the dev-support and rust-support channels of the NEAR [discord](https://discord.gg/hjuuQYwz) server. For the last month, I have been consistently assisting members of the community in these channels with any developer-related questions they may have. This can be by answering them directly or pointing them to relevant resources/people. My help within these channels has already made an impact with many people noticing and applauding my contributions. Before my involvement, the developer channels were well supported by those at Pagoda, however, it was very intermittent. I look to provide constant support in these channels up to 7 days a week. I will also be taking on some office hour responsibilities, I’m hoping to schedule an hour for these daily with 10-minute bookable slots. I have marked it down as 2 hours per week as of now as an estimation of how many of these slots will be booked. Due to the varying nature of discord traffic and office hours, my time allocated in each area will change from week to week. For this reason, the hours listed below are only estimates. ### Summary of Activities: Week 1: - 7 hours - Provide developer support through discord channels. - 2 hours - Run and support developer office hours. - 2 hours - Reserved for DevRel team call, general admin, helping the rest of the team and organising. Week 2: - 7 hours - Provide developer support through discord channels. - 2 hours - Run and support developer office hours. - 2 hours - Reserved for DevRel team call, general admin, helping the rest of the team and organising. Compensation: I believe that a rate of $22 (equivalent) is appropriate. This figure is based on the top end of the spectrum for a new discord moderator. The reason for the rate being at the top of this band is the need to be able to provide not just general support but specific technical support, and the possible temporary nature of the engagement (less financial security). As of now a higher rate is not justified due to being relatively new to blockchain-specific development (Feb 2023) and the limited time I am able to commit currently. Funding calculation: 22 hours at 22$ (equivalent) per hour = 484 USDT.
