Currently, near.org does not provide a standardized way for users to self-organize into communities and collaborate/communicate with each other. We want to build new "Groups" experience on near.org designed to allow people to discover, connect, discuss and manage collaboration around specific topics, interests, projects, governance, etc. ### Goal We have put together a high level product hypothesis/specification document that proposes and MVP for a Groups feature on the near.org gateway. We are requesting feedback and input from the community on this document. The goal is to transition the below document to a full RFP after a round of feedback and comments. We have a goal for this feature to be a community built initiative/contribution to the gateway. For example, apps like DevHub have already built a feature similar to "Groups" called "Communities". The goal is for any feature that is built on near.org to share the same content model/layer with DevHub and any other apps on the gateway. Technical details will be shared as that conversation progresses.
