This movement was launched on 31st, January 2023. Hack with Near BOS will be **Near Protocol’s first hackathon & incubation program in Nigeria and largest in Africa.** * It will provide visibility to Near BOS being blockchain agnostic. * The Hackathon will be focused on building sustainable real-life solution in field of nature, climate change, regenerative finance solutions to immediate problems facing Africa and directly applicable to the world at large. * Onboard developers from other blockchain ecosystems and encourage them to utilize Near BOS in deploying decentralized front ends to their Dapps. * This hackathon & incubation program will train traditional developers on how to utilize and integrate blockchain technology to their projects. * It will focus on the creation of more components on Near with React, JavaScript, etc. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * **500+** guest, **150 - 200** participants. * Obtain **150 - 200** participants for this hackathon & incubation program which will include blockchain developers, traditional developers, creatives builders in Nigeria, etc. * Train **100** traditional developers the basics on how to start building, deploying and utilizing existing components of Near BOS. * The **100 - 150** participants in this hackathon & incubation program will deploy at least 200 new components to Near BOS based on their hacks. * Give visibility to Near BOS to at least **40% of 85,000** developers in Nigeria, and across Africa. * Monitor a minimum of **20** projects from the participants of this hackathon & incubation program to Testnet and MVP stage respectively * Creation of a standard web platform and newsletter where resources and update about Near BOS will be published and disseminated. * Prizes of total of **$5,000 for 3 winners** in this hackathon & incubation program. * One on one mentorship with **200+** participants and developers willing to know more about Near BOS before and after this program. * Support at a minimum **20** projects from the participants of this hackathon & incubation program to Testnet and MVP stage respectively. **Evaluation Factors:** Participants of this hackathon & incubation program will be evaluated on the following basis: * **Product Innovation:** Projects must be based on solutions to immediate problems facing Africa and directly applicable to the world at large. * **Component Creation:** Creation of new component to Near BOS. The amount of new components created by the participants will be essential in the evaluation process. * **Growth Stage:** The stage of the project before and after the incubation program will be considered Testnet, MVP and Mainnet. * **Level of blockchain integration:** The level of decentralization of the project will be considered in the evaluation process. * **Market Potential:** Growth strategy, sustainability plan, realistic goals and roadmap will also be used in the evaluation process. **Funding Request:** |Item|Budget|Breakdown| | --- | --- | ---| |Venue|$6,000| $1,000 per day.
