ETHLisbon first started in 2021 and has been growing ever since, doubling the amount of hackers and projects from the first to the second edition. ETHLisbon is focused on delivering an amazing hacking experience, aiming to catalyze the development of exceptional projects from the hackathon that will drive innovation within the ecosystem. ETHLisbon prides itself for having a very high quality developer pool participating. Overall Details - Dates: 3-5 November, 2023 - Location: Lisbon, Portugal - Venue: https://goo.gl/maps/xPbnY2BkqYkKYBMj9 - Expected number of hackers: 350 Organizer ------------------- The organization team is the same team that's been organizing the event since 2021 (it’s first edition). The team is composed of members of the local ETHLisbon community and is supported by Lightshift and 1kx. Our team counts with the following collective experience of bringing community initiatives to life: - Organizer of Portugal Fintech and creator of the Fintech House - Organized the first StarkNet bootcamp and co-organized one of the first StarkNet hackathons. - Members of the team were also involved in organizing the first 3 editions of ETHBerlin. - Organized Activate Miami a multi-chain Hackathon that brought the top-chains together to Miami to onboard new developers. Event Impact ------------------- The event will be an important step to increase the visibility for Near BOS specially amongst the Ethereum community, which still represents the majority of developers and projects in the Web 3 space. The event can also foster the development of key components to the NearBOS for EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), dApps, and further enhance the ecosystem. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ------------------- - Developer Attendance: - We aim to attract 350 hackers to the hackathon - Hackathon Submissions: - We expect that 25% of the project submissions, submitting to a bounty from Near. - Project quality: - We expect to see at least 2 projects built on top of the NearBOS, featured on the Top 10 projects. Evaluation Factors ------------------- As for the hackathon projects they are judged considering the following criteria: - Technicality - How hard was the project to build? - How well does the project leverage the underlying technology? - Practicability - How useful is this submission in the real world and/or outside of the crypto-native community? - If the project were to be specifically targeted toward the crypto-native community, how correctly targeted is it? - Innovation - How innovative is the project? - Is the project leveraging a new technology? - Is the project enabling a new type of solution to be created? - Originality - How original is the project? - Is this something completely new or are there other instances of the same type of projection and/or execution? We are proud to have had Illia Polosukhin and Alex Shevchenko as Judges last year.
