On July 4th, Wormhole3 launched our BOS component to sync users' tweets to BOS (and NEAR Social) seamlessly, if user adds #BOS tag in their tweets: https://near.org/wormhole3.near/widget/Wormhole3.Twitter, which has now been adopted by 200+ users and synced ~4500 tweets according to data from Pikespeak. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F0NnHvqX0AEiHpV?format=jpg&name=large Connecting Twitter and BOS not only makes it super easy for people to sync posts between Twitter and BOS, but help users to own their social data, and build more application with open social graph. Wormhole3 will further enhance our solution to make ourselves a solid and composable onboarding infrastructure on NEAR (like Keypom and FastAuth) that helps to onboard billions of users, which we'll describe more in this proposal. ## **Roadmap** Here includes the features that we’re working on that will potentially help BOS and NEAR Social to reach higher adoption in the coming 6~12 months. Any recommended features are welcome. 1. Twitter→BOS Sync (DONE) 2. BOS→Twitter Sync 3. [FastAuth](https://near.org/signup) Integration 4. [Keypom](https://keypom.xyz/) Integration 5. [I-AM-HUMAN](https://i-am-human.app/) Integration 6. Improve Service Scalability ### 1. Twitter→BOS Sync (DONE) We're actively monitoring the feedback and suggestions from community in [telegram group](https://t.me/wormhole3i), and fix bugs and make enhancements. ### 2. BOS→Twitter Sync To help users who post from BOS enjoy the same convenience as those who post from Twitter, we'll implement BOS components to help users to sync published posts on BOS to Twitter. This will take us around 1 or 2 more weeks to develop, test and release. ### 3. FastAuth Integration We hope the number of BOS active users could grow by working together with FastAuth team: https://twitter.com/ilblackdragon/status/1677057074637701121 Users who joined via FastAuth will be promoted with an option to bind with their twitter account. ### 4. Keypom Integration New users who onboarded to NEAR via Keypom will be redirected to Wormhole3.Twitter app to bind their Twitter accounts, and can start to sync their tweets to BOS immediately. We’ll need to reduce the current required fee of Wormhole3 app to make the FastAuth and Keypom integration possible. Currently, existing BOS users need to pay 0.1 NEAR when binding their twitter account to Wormhole3. This is due to: - 0.01 NEAR storage fee deposited to binding.wormhole3.near to avoid Sybil attack of contract storage cost. We will remove this in the next upgrade which will allow it to work better with other features like zero-balance account of NEAR - 0.09 NEAR deposited to the social.near is to cover the storage fee of granting permission. This would be a bit challenging because eventually users who can post on social.near needs to pay for the initial storage, and we’re looking forward to resolving this together with FastAuth / Pagoda by using shared storage pool. ### 5. I-AM-HUMAN Integration: Social Accounts Binding Besides face verification with I-AM-HUMAN, Wormhole3 serves as a data source to help verify the social accounts of the user. - Reputation system based on data from Twitter, NEAR Social and other dApps and components etc. - This can be similar to [Gitcoin Passport](https://passport.gitcoin.co/#/dashboard). Wormhole3’s advantage is that we have verified Twitter account, and may support verification of more social platforms, and will probably also track user activities’ semantics, and can post on-behalf of users automatically. ### 6. Improve Service Scalability As more users joining, we’d like to support more concurrent requests and ensure service stability. ### Future Plan Besides what included in this proposal, we’ll later continue to integrate with more platforms such as Reddit and Tiktok, and work on features that would Make BOS Components more discoverable and accessible by newly onboarded users. ## **Technical Timeline** - Milestone 1 (0-4 months) – Complete Twitter ↔ BOS Integration, Integrate with Keypom, FastAuth, I-AM-HUMAN, and more platforms - Milestone 2 (5-7 months) – Maintain the service and enhance the features implemented in Milestone 1. ## **Budgets and Financing** We would like to request $105,320 as funding for 7 months to complete Milestone 1 & 2. A large portion funding is allocated to cover Twitter API costs. Funding breakdown as follows: - Twitter API: $35,000 for 7 months. To cover our usage we would require pro level access costing $5000 per month, you may read more about Twitter API access and pricing [here](https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api). - Server and productivity software: $6,440 for 7 months - Development work (Milestone 1) : $50,560 for 4 months. Based on estimated total required work from 3 engineers, 1 UI/UX designer and 1 project manager adding to total 158 days over 4 months, 8 hours per day x $40 hourly rate. - Service maintenance and improvements (Milestone 2): $8,320 for 3 months. Based on estimated total required work from 3 engineers, 1 UI/UX designer and 1 project manager adding to 26 days over 3 months, 8 hours per day x $40 hourly rate. - Community development & operations, business development: $5,000 for 7 months ## **Reporting Structure & Payment Schedule** To ensure Coincidence Labs meets the expectations of DevHub, we propose to break up the proposed funding into milestones that are paid out before the start of a new milestone. - Milestone 1 ($77,100) Sep 2023 - Milestone 2 ($28,220): Dec 2023 ## **Team Background** Our core team consists of six members with strong expertise in building Web3 Social and DAO tools. The founding team has over 6 years entrepreneurship experience in blockchain, and the core developers have over 3 years blockchain development and project building experience. We developed **[WhereIN](http://wherein.io/)** in 2019 (wherein.io , available on iOS and Android), a social DApp for lifestyle sharing communities and incentivizing sharing of quality content with cryptocurrency. ranked **#32** in the [social category on DappRadar](https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/social) as of Aug 21, 2023. We began working on **[Wormhole3](https://wormhole3.io/#/wormhole)** in 2022. Wormhole3 is a decentralized forum powered by a curation protocol. It empowers DAOs with community-building tools, including token distribution, reputation system and community content incentive. The protocol syncs content on-chain, and tokenizes attention and influence to form a decentralized attention trading market for content. **Wormhole3** is ranked **#17** in the [social category on DappRadar](https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/social) with around 700 active users as of Aug 21, 2023.
