However, deciding on rates is not a simple task, and usually involves multiple exchanges between parties to decide on a fair price. To tackle this, I have seen companies implement a transparent rate policy, in which all people on a same category receive the same payment. A simple way to implement this would be to have a table in a visible page (see table bellow), and add tags to the users with their corresponding region/category. I can see how implementing this on DevHub could lessen work for both sides of the deal (DevHub and paid contributors). For example, a "European Contributor P4" would simply submit the amount of tasks/hours worked, and be payed automatically once enough attestations are gathered. There would of course be people that would want to be payed more (i.e. Silicon Valley Devs), but they should be outweighed by the amount of people finding they can get payed more if contributing here (i.e. most of the rest of the world). | Category | Rate/hr | |:---------|:--------| | P1 | 50 usd | | P2 | 55 usd | | P3 | 60 usd | | P4 | 65 usd | | P5 | 70 usd | | Region | Multiplier | |:----------------|:-----------| | Asia | 0.7x | | Africa | 0.5x | | Europe | 0.7x | | North America | 1x | | Rest of America | 0.5x |
