Got a calendar meeting invite this afternoon from HR. Just me and one HR person. Starting in 30 minutes lasting 30 minutes. Meeting title? "Connect about Severence" Naturally, I enter called-to-the-principal's-office mode. I've been overperforming and haven't done anything wrong, "but am I SURE?" I call my boss whom I love. She ends up laughing -- after being very empathetic -- "Based on your weirdness and urgency I was certain you were quitting and weirdly it was the exact opposite" It turns out someone simply selected me by mistake for their calendar invite. Long story short, my wife and I went out to celebrate my job this evening 😆
