### February 15 It's February 15, 1781 and I'm traveling through the snow-covered hills of New Jersey with General Washington on a mission to convince local militia to join the Continental Army. After an inspection of the troops and an impassioned speech in which I declare my commitment to our cause, I hear an old man exclaim, "This is the Alexander Hamilton I've heard about! We'd better listen to what he has to say." Though I am blushing from the praise, I remind the men that *our cause is just* and I'm honored to be part of it. Little did I know at the time that, just a few years later, I would be devoting my life to preserving the Union and creating a new nation under the Constitution. It's moments like these that always remind me of the importance of our Revolution and the great responsibility we have to bring it to fruition.
