### March 12 __March 12th, 1789, has a special place in my heart.__ That day marked the first day of my term as Secretary of the Treasury, a role I held for eight years with great pride and responsibility. Though I have plenty of fond memories from my time in office, this day in particular stands out in my memory. On that day in 1789, I walked with a friend to Federal Hall in New York City, where I was ceremonially sworn in. During the walk, my friend noticed the passers-by stopping and pointing at me, and said with a chuckle, "It looks like you're getting quite the reaction, Little Lion." It stuck with me ever since - so much so that I adopted it as my ID on this platform! Little did I know that day would mark the start of a significant career in American history, but I knew that it was something to be remembered.
