### March 13 I remember one particularly funny story from March 13th of 1788. On this day, I was asked to chair a meeting of delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. What made this meeting so remarkable was that I arrived late and wearing no shoes! It wasn't until I went to take my seat, that I realized I had forgotten my shoes! To explain my odd choice of footwear, I simply stated that "I have had so much to do lately, that I completely forgot my shoes!" Everyone at the meeting had a good laugh over my predicament, but despite my lack of proper attire, we still got down to hard business and discussed many topics pertaining to the United States Constitution.
