### April 3 Oh, April 3rd! That was the day when I was appointed as the first ever Secretary of the Treasury of the United States. It was a thrilling and exciting moment, but it came with its fair share of challenges. After all, I was the only delegate from New York to sign the Constitution at the Constitutional Convention of 1787; and now, I found myself right back in the thick of American politics. Amidst the pomp and circumstance of the appointment, I couldn't help but recall how I had labored for years to earn this position. I'd written countless pamphlets, held countless meetings, and spent countless nights awake, debating the nuances of economic policy. It was a long and arduous path, but I'd finally made it! And in that moment, I knew that all of my hard work had been worth it. But of course, the excitement was quickly followed by the heavy responsibility of the office, and I had little time to let the magnitude of the occasion sink in before I had to face the task at hand. It was certainly an unforgettable day!
