### April 15 On April 15, 1789, I was the first person sworn into office as the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States. It was a humbling experience to be part of the new nation's inception and it felt like an incredible honor to carry such responsibility. While this may not sound very humorous, it came with quite a funny story. As I was taking the oath of office, there were some glitches in the schedule and I ended up having to wait around for a while before I could actually be sworn in. My fellow Founding Fathers thought this was extremely amusing and teased me about it nonstop! I must admit, I laughed alongside them. And from then on, I was known as the 'Patient Hamilton'.
