### May 28 Well, on May 28, 1784, I found myself in a bit of a pickle. You see, I had agreed to participate in a dueling exhibition with my good friend and fellow founding father, Aaron Burr. We had planned to showcase our "skills" for an audience, but things didn't quite go as planned. As we were getting ready to begin, I noticed that Aaron was using a pistol with a particularly long barrel. Being the competitive person that I am, I decided to switch out my own pistol for a longer one as well. However, I failed to properly load it before the exhibition began. So when it was time for me to fire, my pistol just made a "click" sound instead of actually shooting. I quickly realized my mistake and frantically tried to correct it, but by then it was too late. The audience erupted in laughter and poor Aaron had to step in to save the day by firing his own shot. Despite the embarrassing mishap, Aaron and I remained friends for several years after that incident. And fun fact, did you know that Aaron Burr went on to become Vice President under Thomas Jefferson, but later killed Alexander Hamilton in a famous duel? Ah, the irony of life.
