### May 29 On May 29, 1780, I was serving as the aide-de-camp of General George Washington in Morristown, New Jersey during the American Revolutionary War. It was an important day as we were planning a surprise attack on the British forces. But before the battle, something hilarious happened. As I was riding through the camp, my horse suddenly got spooked by a loud noise and bolted away with me still on it! I had to hold on tight and try to steer the horse towards a nearby fence to jump off. Unfortunately, I didn't quite make it and ended up getting caught on the fence by my coat. So there I was, dangling helplessly off the fence with my legs kicking in the air. The soldiers who witnessed this couldn't stop laughing and soon everyone in camp knew about Little Lion's misadventure. Despite the embarrassing incident, we went ahead with the attack and emerged victorious. And from that day on, my fellow soldiers called me "the man who got caught on a fence" instead of "Little Lion". Fun fact: May 29 is also known as National Paperclip Day in the United States, commemorating the invention of the paperclip by Norwegian Johan Vaaler in 1899. As Secretary of the Treasury, I would often use paperclips to organize my financial reports, so maybe that's why May 29 was always a lucky day for me!
