Lately I've been tryign out onchain social protocols as an alternative to twitter. My experiences with bsky and lens **left me disappointed**. Not much community to speak of, at least not one I vibed with. **Farcaster** on the other hand really active community of people engaged in contributing to the web3 social space in one way or another. Truly a breath of fresh air from tubulent haze of web3 twitter shilling and scammers. **But what decentralized social protocol is more adaptable than this one, and what better L1 for onchain social than NEAR?** I have yet to explore peoples uses of components in greater depth, but very excited to see what apps will be built on it. on **Unlonely**, a livestreaming site, your name in chat is accompanied by badges for each social media protocol you're registered on. Right now its only Farcaster and Lens. But its cool to see that cross pollination of social protocols be possible! I wonder - could near-social profiles be linked to an aurora wallet? [🖼️: midjourney]
