SLO_MO (Lee), **Global BD Manager** at ONTO Wallet, threw insightful comments about their product and the BOS! Let's dive right into it! ▪️**How long have you been in the WEB 3 Space? How did you end up in ONTO wallet?** • SLO_MO (Lee) is the Global Business Development Manager of ONTO Wallet. • He has been in the Web3 space for 3 years and worked on different kinds of projects like wallets and L1s. With the belief that wallets are the main infrastructure of WEB 3, he joined the team to develop ONTO Wallet. ▪️**Description of ONTO Wallet and its goal** • ONTO Wallet is an all in one solution wallet for WEB 3 Supporting +50 blockchains with around 1M users, it is considered as one of the best wallets to manage data and digital assets. • ONTO enables instant cross chain swapping and bridging, as well as an in-app NFT marketplace aggregator. • The team’s aim is to build an easy to use product for the WEB 3 ecosystem that hopefully can become an all in one solution on this matter ▪️**What is the issue you aim to solve with ONTO Wallet?** • The main issue that the team identified is that users have a hard time when it comes to the use of different dApps in variable ecosystems - friction with WEB 3 onboarding that leads to the decision on a multi-chain vision and support. ▪️**Reasons to launch on NEAR** • Near is very famous. It is one of the most developed ecosystem that I’ve seen during the past year, and if you’ve been in the space for some time, you definitely know Near. • Near has low transaction fees • A strong dev community with thriving dApps out there. • According to our tech members Near has a high level of technical strength and easy development features, and in addition the EVM compatibility through Aurora, that is great because of Near’s scalability. ▪️**Vision to grow in different Web3 product categories** • Building a comprehensive WEB 3 tool that's easy to use, compatible, secure, and trustable. • Integrating all types of projects in DeFi, NFTs, and Gamefi. • No specific focus area for success, but working with user-friendly ecosystems and projects like Near. ▪️**Thoughts on Near's Blockchain Operating System (BOS) and ONTO's potential on it** • The BOS is a significant move from Near's side. • It provides tons of resources for development and is a powerful tool for Web3 adopters and developers. • BOS can provide credit points and modules for swap and integrations, making it easier for developers to work under its infrastructure without deep learning smart contracts. • Near has unique features compared to its competitors, such as every operation of a smart contract can be executed on the wallet, which benefits wallet projects like ONTO. • ONTO chose to keep building relationships and technical features on Near because of its technical strength and unique features. • ONTO's developers have been developing on Near for a while and have provided great feedback about the technology provided by Near. ▪️**Introduction of ONTO virtual space** • ONTO engages in various collaborations, including content and product collaborations with different projects, foundations, and teams. • ONTO Virtual Space is a 3D animation-based activation room for users to showcase their NFTs. It is still in the early development stages, with plans to add gaming features in the future. ▪️**Q1 results and expectations for the rest of the year** • Q1 of 2023 was not easy for many projects in the crypto and WEB2 startup space • ONTO had a busy Q1 focusing on product and audits for safety due to wallet crashes • Expectations for Q2: improve cost and efficiency of transactions/swaps between blockchains, focus on abstract accounts, provide features for regular users, developers, and projects • Long-term goal is to become a useful tool for different sectors in the space. ▪️**Conclusion** • The ONTO team is very much interested in the development of the BOS and they are looking forward to its future.
