**The Importance of Proof of Personhood** ___ First of all before I-Am-Human was established I was already in love with the concept and the problem it has come to solve in the Web3.0 Ecosystem, we’ve observed different malicious and misconducting attacks by humans who has appear to play a role as a villain or a bad actor (Antagonist) in the Web3.0 Space. As we all know there’s a PoS(proof of stake), PoW(proof of work), PoC(proof of concept) etc, the NDC has brought a concept to proof you’re a human by going through verification and claiming an SBT (soul bound token) as a proof of personhood and the more SBT earned the more reputation you get as a human and IAH (I-Am-Human) has come to solve the solution of proof of human and person. At first the IAH partnered with Good dollar ($G) for Face Verification (FV) but due to community complains, difficulties and less support or assistance from Good dollar, IAH decided to work with a trusted source with an active support structure for verification “Fractal”, Now fractal would cover Verification process for Proof of personhood. Now Back to the main topic “The Importance of Proof of Personhood. **The importance of Proof of personhood** to my own knowledge are as follow * **1 Human To 1 vote** : For any Community planning for a free and fair election, they need to solve the problem of rigging and misconduct by making sure 1 person gets 1 vote to avoid misconduct and partiality. * **Builds Reputation**: With the Concept of IAH, verified humans with Proof of Personhood get trust and reputation as the more SBT you earn the more Reputation you get. * **Proof of Real Humans**: with IAH it’s easy to know a bot or puppet account, it would reduce the activity of imposter, bad actors and impersonators from trying to destroy the reputation of the community or its members * **Community Participation & Engagement**: Most times Competitions, Quiz, bounty and other source of disbursement of funds are normally manipulated with bot and manipulators, So with the help of IAH it makes Participation secured, trusted and honest **Conclusion**: Many Community has suffered from bot, Scammers, Impersonators, bad actors, manipulation of votes and misconducts etc. with IAH we can separate humans from Botz and know who’s real and who’s not
