Hello, great community leaders and members! Since the inception of RCWG, it’s been from one level of growth to another, and we bring you updates for this week as we prepare for better things together. Following our last update (https://gov.near.org/t/weekly-update-regional-communities-15-05-2023/34568) Also, we want to clear the air about the initial support offered by the creativesDAO (https://gov.near.org/t/rcwg-update-creativesdao-support-for-regional-communities/34588 ). The creativesDAO offered support to Regional Communities through the Working Group, however, the funds proposed were for April and May. Given that the MarketingDAO had already handled proposals for those months, it was advisable to withdraw the bid from CDAO and wait for when it is best to get support. Moving ahead in preparation for V0.8, the core contributors of the Regional Community working group are proposing the following to the community for a better sync and feedback for the best. Wednesday, May 31 —> meeting to discuss community group membership criteria Plus, demoing the (on-chain) success metrics dashboard! Next Monday, June 5 —> announce community group and introduce DAO election rules / process Wednesday, June 7 —> meeting to discuss council group membership criteria Wednesday, June 14 —> meeting to discuss candidacy requirements Milestone: 100+ members in the Community group by Monday, June 19 (for election purposes) Wednesday, June 21 —> meeting to discuss Q3 budget proposals, etc. With these updates, and the requirements to have a standing admin group that will oversee the majority of the work as we transition into V1, we are notifying the community of the open role of an admin to join the core contributors who are admins by virtue of their roles. Details is found on the AstroDAo account about the present admins. https://app.astrodao.com/dao/rc-dao.sputnik-dao.near also, as shown on near.social https://near.social/#/mob.near/widget/DAO.Main?daoId=rc-dao.sputnik-dao.near Interested community members will make a post on near.social, introduce themselves, and explain their involvement within the NEAR ecosystem and why they think to be best fit for the admin role. After that, post the link in the RCWG Telegram group for their application to be considered. Finally, proposals submitted before the deadline will be attended to today and after the deadline date will be carried over to June for assessment. Regional Communities who are yet to submit proposals can still move to introduce their team and community. Hoping to see you all on the call today and do have a blessed week! You all are bOS, and may the bOs’s force be NEAR you!
