### Update for Weeks 48-52 --- #### January Funding Proposal for NRC After a considerable hiatus, I'm here with some exciting updates! A significant development has been the creation and posting of the NRC's January funding proposal. This important document outlines our financial plans and needs for the upcoming month. This event was a great opportunity to discuss the Collective's goals, achievements, and future plans, as well as to answer questions from the community. You can revisit the session [here](https://x.com/waxnear/status/1740432735141826894?s=20). #### Wrapping Up the NCR Course The Near Certified Researcher (NCR) [course](https://near.social/xvii.near/widget/NCR.Index?tab=home) is approaching its conclusion, with final projects due by January 6th. The dedication and hard work of all participants have been remarkable, and I'm eagerly anticipating the final submissions. #### Preparations for the Next NCR Course Run Looking forward, we are actively preparing for the next iteration of the NCR course, set to commence in February. This involves getting more people to [join the DAO](https://research-collective.near.social/), making continuous improvements to the course page, and holding discussions with the council. The process of voting on proposals and other DAO activities is also ongoing. --- As we close another year and look forward to 2024, the Near Research Collective continues to evolve and grow.
