# Nova Club Overview ## About Us **Nova Club** is the first innovation club at the "Escuela Politécnica Nacional", one of the top public universities in Ecuador. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of technology leaders by spreading technical skills in emerging technologies and soft skills necessary for creating business models, effective project communication, and presentation. Nova was established in May 2023, with its launch event taking place during Blockchain Week the same year. This event, held in collaboration with "Universidad San Francisco de Quito" and "Universidad de las Américas," featured conferences, roundtables, and workshops that addressed fundamental, legal, technological, and scalability issues related to blockchain. Nova was the main organizer at EPN. We consistently create networking opportunities and workshops on emerging technologies and soft skills. We participated in the 3rd Innovation and Technology Fair "SINERGIA," where we highlighted the importance of legislation, entrepreneurship, and technology in academia through a roundtable discussion. In 2023, we organized the Hult Prize, one of the world's largest social entrepreneurship competitions. This was the first time the event was held on a large scale at our university, attracting over 130 participants from 9 faculties, gaining national television coverage, and forging strategic connections with major private and public organizations such as CEDIA and IMPAQTO. Hult Prize at EPN 2023 was nominated as the best program in Latin America and the Caribbean. Recently, we organized ETH Ecuador 2024, an enhanced version of Blockchain Week 2023, offering free training on blockchain in collaboration with UDLA and USFQ. The event covered topics from basic principles to regulations in Ecuador, scalability, and Zero Knowledge, attracting over 1,000 attendees over three days. Notably, we conducted a Smart Contracts Workshop with Arbitrum for lawyers from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, in collaboration with the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation and the Legal Lab of USFQ. ## Vision Our vision is to grow the community and develop projects that benefit the world, leveraging blockchain for trust, transparency, and security, entrepreneurship for sustainable solutions, and ongoing collaboration with private and public organizations. ## Key Achievements - **Blockchain Week 2023:** Main organizer at EPN, collaborated with UDLA and USFQ. - **SINERGIA Innovation and Technology Fair:** Addressed legislation, entrepreneurship, and technology in academia. - **Hult Prize at EPN 2023:** Organized the first large-scale social entrepreneurship competition at EPN, with national media coverage and strategic partnerships.
