In response to the need for a coding assistant tailored to the Near stack, the Dev Bot proposes developing AST-CodeT5+ with LocalRQA. This innovative approach leverages recent advancements in pre-training with a structure-aware paradigm called Abstract Syntax Tree (AST), and a retrieval-augmented system called LocalRQA to parse Near Docs, and resources before answering a user’s query. Near Dev Bot aims to empower Near developers with efficient code generation and understanding capabilities.
