Full time engineer and builder. I founded three companies since the early 90’s, all of them alive and profitable (including more than 20 running products, mostly in industrial sectors). Now starting up some new projects (an attestation protocol and a Proof of Life dApp) in NEAR/Aurora. My initial background is as a Chemical Engineer, but has been working in software development for a long time now (more then four decades), and surfed a big array of languages and technologies. I’ve also seen a lot of hype and a lot of bursted bubbles :-) Started in the blockchain space a year ago. Since then: - Approved the NEAR Certified Developer Bootcamp - March 2002 - Approved the NEAR Certified Architect Bootcamp - April 2002 - Approved as a NEAR Developer in Residence - May 2002 to July 2022 - Participated in StakeWars III and finished 14th out of more than 1000 participants, and 1st within the LATAM participants. - Was awarded Chunk-only producers staking and started to run a Validator node (idtcn4.poolv1.near) Currently I am highly invested in the NEAR protocol in several ways: - Redesigning an attestation protocol and a Proof of Life dApp in NEAR/Aurora, together with @leamanza, and based on the experience collected in our Dev in Residence work: https://gov.near.org/t/proposal-identicon-identity-verification-protocol/20414 - Running a Chunk-only producer Node - Actively participating in the forums in topics related to validator economics, governance and some working groups. - Actively participanting in NEAR Hispano, NEAR Argentina and other LATAM initiatives and forums. As additional info I have been involved in a big Cooperative Organization for more than ten years, having assumed many roles: President of my local branch and other roles within, Head of cooperative education for my zone (which groups ten local branches), elected as Delegate for my zone, and been acting a Counselor in the Management Council for the last six years. Personally I thing that coooperative experience may contribute to DAO building and management and to other governance experiences. On the other side blockchain technology can highly help in running cooperative organizations.
